the brain is thinking

last night was a tiring night, as a college student i have to finish my assignment on time.

i have a bad habit. I used to start doing the assignments last minute time, so i would done it in a rush. well, now, iam trying let it go. :)

the assignment is a group project, and ive chosen to become the group leader for this project. so, last night, we did the assignment together, until the morning comes.hehe

before we did the assignment, i did a brainstorming session, so, all of the members will be more creative and, ideas would come out from their mind.

i was following the 6 steps in leading a brainstorming session, i defined the problems, than review the member the 3 brainstorming rules, did a creative warm up exercise, in this session i was using my ashtray to make their think creatively, and then i conducted the brainstorming session, then i collected all their ideas, and it done with a good result.

i used another topic from BCT this morning.

it just happened like...eerrmmm... like it was happen (?).

i have a housemate, his name is vicky, we called him burki. because of, there was a famous gym instructor named vicky burki.hehe, so we just call him burki.hahahaha

so, burki was on his way to the bathroom, to took his shower, so did i, he was like wanted to go first to the bathroom when he saw me who wanted to do the same. but, because i was in a rush, it was already late for me to go to class, but i have to attend it. so i yelled to him " burki, let me go first, i have a class", but he refused it, then i practiced my skill to him,"come on bur, you are already handsome, even without taking shower", and he smiled, and let me go first to the bathroom.hahhaha. good friend of mine he is.*yoda's way of talking*hehe. and i go to the class, confidently.hahaha

the song is written by jonny greenwood-the guitarist-, while radiohead in france, he saw an american tourist who look at every object in a rush.like there was no time for the tourist to enjoy the object.

begging for nothing

hello again with me...hahahahaha

eerrmm, actually i wanted to introduce my self in this post. so, here we go

iam from bandung, Indonesia (yes, it is a great city)
iam a 20 years old boy
iam college student in MMU cyberjaya Malaysia, its a great university, in a desert like city. cyberjaya is just HOT !!!
well, thats enough i think :p

ok go to the main problem..
since iam an international student, and far from my parents. i am always having a financial problem in the end of the month. my parents send me money in the beggining of month and it ends up with me lend some money from my beloved friends :)

it was Reza who became my victim this noon.hehe
i asked him to lend me some money, and i would pay it next month.

since iam taking BCT this semester, i practiced the knowledge that i got from this subject, and it was AD POPULUM FALLACY APPEAL TO PITY. so, i went to his house, and had this conversation

Me: rei, may i borrow RM 50 ? i will pay it next month.
Reza: what for ?
Me: for eat. i dont have money now, i have only eating noodles since 3 days ago, if i continue my life like this, my stomache will be broken into pieces.
Reza: ok, but pay it next month.
Me: thank you my friend.

Ledger : Bale, let’s go to the movies, there is a new Batman movie; I heard the movie is great.
Bale : Ah, no man, I have my BCT assignment to finish.
Ledger : What? You know, today is Friday, and you are going to sit in front of your computer and doing assignment? Come on dude, what is wrong with you, become a smart head all of the sudden.
Bale : Yeah man, I have to submit it by Monday.
Ledger : Gosh, you know what? You are not cool, cool people go to movies, or anywhere to have fun in weekend. Come on dude, doing assignment in weekend is the last thing I want to do.
Bale : Whatever buddy, today, I want to finish my assignment.
Ledger : Up to you, I am going to have some fun.
Bale : Sure, have it.
Ledger : Later then.
Bale : See you

A little sketch above is about two friends, who had argued. They were arguing about the cool people who go to the movies on weekend. The bold sentences shows about what Ledger believe, he believes cool people go to some place on weekend instead of sitting in front of the monitor and doing assignment. It shows that he is using Ad Populum Fallacy appeal to common belief to persuade Bale to come with him and going to the movies together.

happy ramadhan

since today, until the next 30 days, i will not having my lunch. i will not drinking water since morning until evening !!!!

iam not on diet, *LOL, i could not think what id become, if iam doing diet.* so, what in the world make you do not eat and drink during day ?

because...

today is the first day of Ramadhan !!!! and iam as a moslem, and all Moslem people is the world are going to fast from Fajr until Maghrib for a month, starting from today, 1 September 2008. but still, eve with an empty stomach, we have to think logical and critical :p

ok. so what do i have for today ? i have a story..HAHAHAHA

when i woke up this morning (well, i say 1pm is still morning, since today is a holiday :p), i was thirsty, but i could not fill my throat with water, because iam fasting. and actually, that moment is not the story i want to share now.

this conversation

i went to a concert last night. it was a hongkong band, they were good. the funny thing is, all of the audience, artists, and host were chinese.i could count, only 4 persons in that hall who wasnt chinese. me, my friends, and one caucasian guy. from this event, what are the things that relate to the critical thinking is this statement ==>

"all element in that concert was chinese, it made me feel like i was in China, not Malaysia"

that statement is SIMILE form.

movie script ending

this is my second blog entry. the previous blog i wrote -well, typed- about football, and now, i would like to write about movie. yes, movie. why movie ? what movie ? what am i gonna do with that movie ? i let you know after i finish this paragraph. and this paragraph is finished.
living in the city like cyberjaya, honestly, make me want to scream out loud and say "I AM BOREEEEDDDD" . and when i find a new movie, it's just like finding an oasis in the middle of the desert. <==== SIMILE. the last movie that i watched was never back down. it was a fine movie, but it didnt make feel like 'wow, this movie makes me feel great' . that movie was just fine. and thats why, i want to make this movie looks special, classy, and extra ordinary.

here is the real story. about a guy, high school boy who fells guilty about his dad's dead. he tries to run away from the problem by do fights. and there was a time when he, his little brother, and his mom have to move to another city. he had some fights, and he trained to the master of martial arts. and at the end. he won the fights.

so ordinary commercial happy ending movie, isnt it ? so i like to change the story a little bit, to make this movie more interesting. well, for me.

NEVER BACK DOWN v2.01

there is a guy who likes to fight named jake, go to another city because of his brother got a tennis scholarship. (its a real one though). he comes to the new school, the students are good, some not. jake met a mexican-american girl, named baja. bad for jake, baja has a boyfriend named ryan. this ryan is the best fighter in the school, he got skills in karate, jiu jitsu, judo, taekwondo, and other martial arts.

the story goes until jake makes friend with bobby (i made this character), fat, not smart, unpopular student in the school. someday, bobby, got bullied by ryan and the gang. jake can not take it. without permission from bobby, jake challange ryan to fight one on one bareknuckle fight. ryan accept, and later, jake's body covered by blood. yes, jake lose. knowing jake finished, bobby is angry, then he train secretly to martial art master, name frank, a bald, muscular, tattoed and full of anger man.

baja, the beautiful mexican-american girl feels so uncomfort with the ryan-jake relationship. ryan is her boyfriend, and baja admire jake, jake is quite good looking boy.

bobby has finished his training with frank, and planning to have a revenge with ryan. surprised by the challenge that asked by bobby, ryan cannot avoid but to accept the fight. then they fight, watched by baja and jake. bobby is the winner in this fight. but ryan cannot accept it. then he take out his gun from his car, and point the gun toward bobby, but jake sees it. jake pushes bobby and jake get shot by the bullet from the ryan's gun. jake is dead. ryan goes to prison, bobby moves to another city, baja continue her study then become actreess.

best attacking team ? - valid but bad argument

go to the main topic. today, i would like to talk about football. my favorite sport. i read an article from www.goal.com , this article talk about AC Milan's forward player, Filippo Inzaghi, who claim that his team has the best attacker squad in the whole world. you can read the complete version of the article here.

this is his quote : “I think we are favourites for the Scudetto alongside Inter, Juve and Roma but we have the best attack, no-one has a striking department like ours."

actually, this team indeed has some top world players, lets say, they just sign a contract with Ronaldinho, who rewarded best football player by FIFA in 2004. however, if we see from the quote that stated by Filippo Inzaghi, he does not have a strong supporting argument that can support his statement. in this article actually Inzaghi mention about the comeback of Andriy Shevchenko, former Chelsea FC player whose the credibility is proven by his goals and performances.

lets see it in an easier form :
Ronaldinho and Andriy Shevchenko are two of the best player in the world who just signed a contract with AC Milan
A team who has best player in the world will win the competition
AC Milan will win the competition

it is a valid argument because the conclusion necessarily follow the premises. however, it is a bad valid argument, because the premises and the conclusion can be asked easily, like " are you sure they are the best player ?" etc. so the statement that is stated in the article is valid but bad argument.
